Soulstice - Fiery Zealots Synergy Animation

This is the animation I made related to the arm cannon synergy for the Soulstice videogame, by Reply Games Studios, where I worked as a Gameplay Animator. I am especially proud of this one, cause it was the first time I can create such a cool action shot, like the one I used to see in some great anime or japan video games. It's probably the one I like the most among all the animations I've done during working at Soulstice ^-^.
The creative process took place through various phases, from brainstorming to identifying the most effective idea through sketches and thumbnails, to then moving on to the creation of the storyboard to identify the most effective framing and movements to communicate the power of the attack and then to film some video references. Having identified the idea, I proceeded with the creation of the layout within Maya, where we were able to study the camera movements in the best possible way. Once I found the best shot and animation for the camera, I moved on to the various steps of making the animation, from blocking to blocking plus, up to the final polishing phase.
Subsequently, the animation and the camera were exported and integrated into the engine, with subsequent modifications.
